Greg Folts is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and has served as an AA Electrician. He is an accomplished, experienced maintenance and reliability consultant and trainer. He served as manager of continuous improvement over Lean Six Sigma and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) as well as TPM Coordinator/TPM Manager. He joined Marshall Institute, Inc. in 1999 as a Senior Consultant, moving to Director of Operations, and later, Vice President. For the past 5 years, Greg has been the primary owner of Marshall Institute, Inc., a global consulting firm with offices currently in Michigan, Texas, and North Carolina. Greg has supported hundreds of clients in the United States, and facilitated multiple global implementations of maintenance and reliability. He has been involved with SMRP presentations numerous times since the mid 1990s, including for symposiums and local chapters. He has also served on SMRP/CMRP subcommittees and currently serves as the Chair of the Appeals and Complaints Committee. He has also given presentations for UE Systems, Reliable Plant, and others. Greg has great passion for Maintenance and Reliability, especially in the areas of: strategy, partnerships between maintenance and operations, Digital Transformation (IIOT or Industrial Internet of Things), Asset Management/ISO 55000, and translating reliability concepts into shop floor practical solutions. Greg strongly believes in standardization, processes, strategic thinking, and partnership at all levels of the organization. Greg is a lifelong learner, and has seen multiple evolutions of his career. He likes meeting people, loves sharing knowledge, embraces challenges, and enjoys helping clients by putting himself in their shoes to help solve problems.
